SUMMARY

Provides the highest level of service, greets guests with friendliness and enthusiasm, and interacts with all guests at the bar, including having a positive attitude at all times.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES include the following:

  • Takes guest orders and recommends beverages to enhance their experience; observes guests to respond to any additional requests and to determine when beverage and/or meal is completed.
  • Serves beverages in a timely manner.
  • Maintains full knowledge of beer products and descriptions.
  • Knowledgeable of proper glassware and pouring techniques.
  • Knowledgeable of wine, liquor and other featured beverages.
  • Can prepare tap cocktails to recipe specifications and serving procedures.
  • Knowledgeable about bar food offerings and current promotions.
  • Stocks beer, wine, and bar supplies.
  • Washes glassware according to proper sanitation guidelines.
  • Follows opening/closing checklists to prepare for business and close down at end of shift.
  • Maintains a clean work area and guest environment during the shift.
  • Follows all requirements for the responsible service of alcohol.
  • Understands basic money handling and can make proper change and process credit card transactions.
  • Clears, resets tables, and properly stores items at conclusion of each course/event.
  • Provides assistance and direction to guests when necessary.
  • Maintains a professional appearance.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.
